Executive
Director, Fr. Joe
is responsible for
the overall
spiritual
direction of the
Office of Youth
and Young Adult
Ministries.
Through his
personal
experiences
growing up in the
Archdiocese of
Newark, he has
seen first hand
how youth ministry
can help give a
young person
direction. Looking
to bring that same
energy that he
remembers to a new
and different
generation excites
him as he takes on
his new role in
the Office. His
presence and
support is a gift
that will assist
in all of the
programs the
Office presents
both for parish
leaders and to the
youth themselves. |

Al,
who has seen the ins and
outs of Youth Ministry
in the Archdiocese of
Newark through his last
20 years of service,
continues to shape the
direction of programs
and services available
to the parishes and
youth of the
Archdiocese. As he is
now responsible for the
day to day operations of
the Office and of the
Retreat Center, Al can
bring his experiences
and personal insight to
the table to expand and
grow both the Office of
Youth and Young Adult
Ministry for the
Archdiocese and also for
your parish and school.
By working with your
staff he can assist you
in developing programs
which serve the needs of
all the youth in your
parish from a
comprehensive stand
point. And by tying in
your parish efforts with
the Archdiocesan
programming you will see
dramatic results in the
formation of your youth
and young adults in
quantity but more
importantly in quality. |

A
dedicated Salesian,
Sr. Loretta brings
forth the
spirituality of
Don Bosco through
her gifts
& talents.
She has begun
visiting Parishes
to meet many of
the staffs for
Youth &
Young Adult
Ministry in our
Archdiocese and
has established
monthly meetings
in each county for
the regular
collaboration of
Youth Ministry on
a local level. She
also publishes a
monthly newsletter
to inform everyone
of the programs
being offered for
you and your
youth. She has
established a
Young Adult
Council which
coordinates events
such as Young
Adult Month and
Theology on Tap.
Sr. Loretta's
ministry is
focused on
training leaders
of Youth and Young
Adult Ministry and
working with
Parishes
regardless of size
or budget to
implement the
strategies
outlined in
Renewing The
Vision and Sons
and Daughters of
the Light.

Before
working for the
Archdiocese of Newark,
Tracey directed youth
retreats for the Fatima
Retreat Center and
Office of Evangelization
and Parish Life in
the Diocese of
Scranton, Pennsylvania.
Tracey had
been an active part of
the ministry team at her
own parish; where she
helped direct retreats,
junior high ministry,
special events, and
formation of the peer
leadership team. As
the Director of Retreats
and Spirituality, Tracey
works with a group of
teens called Kingdom
Builders, who are
trained intensively to
provide the best
possible peer to peer
ministry retreat
experiences for schools
and parishes. Tracey
also works with youth
ministers from the
Diocese to create
Christ-centered weekend
retreat experiences for
junior high and high
school aged young
people. For
leadership development,
teamwork enhancement,
and community building
for parishes and
schools, Tracey
coordinates the
high-ropes Challenge
Course retreats. Outside
of the retreat ministry,
Tracey works on bringing
a sense of
evangelization and
holiness to our
Athletics Ministry, and
coordinates the
pilgrimages to World
Youth Day and the Annual
Right to Life March in
Washington, D.C

Johanna, a recent
graduate from
Steubenville
University in
Ohio, will be

years Johanna has
worked with Youth
Ministry Programs
and is excited
about the possibilities
of serving the
youth and young
adults in our
Archdiocese. |

Rich,
our Associate
Director of Special Events
and Athletics helps to
organize and run
events in the
Archdiocese like
Youthfest,
Hand-In-Hand
Festival, A Dream
of Peace and
Justice, NCYC, the Ski Trip
and our Summer
Camp Program. He
also oversees the
Athletic Ministry
of the Archdiocese
that comprises
Volleyball,
Basketball,
Softball and
Baseball for
children in grades
3 to 8. Rich
is also a Youth Minister
at St Theresa's in
Kenilworth , were
he has worked with
junior high and
high school
students for the
past 12 years. |

Gabe
and Annette work
together to
provide support to

Girl Scout Troops

Archdiocese.
Through their
efforts, we are
able to aid the
troops and host
Archdiocesan

everyone together.

important in all
areas of youth and
young adult
ministry because
of the
reinforcement of
our basic beliefs.

Dulce
has been with
us for 6 years
now.
Prior
to her
joining us she
worked for six
years at Clara
Maass Nursing Home
as the Food
Service Supervisor
in Dietary
Department.
Dulce
graduated from
Philippine
Women’s
University as
Bachelor of
Science in Foods
and Nutrition.
She also
served 12 years in
Philippine Navy
Military Hospital
as Nutritionist.
She is now
responsible for
the day to day operations
of Dietary Food
Service for the
Retreat
Center.
With her
license and
knowledge about
the Food Service
industry, she
has helped the
Retreat
Center
cut costs without sacrificing
the quality of food
and service.
With her
high standard of
quality and
sanitation at the
Retreat
Centers
Dining Hall , she
has helped us pass
the New Jersey
Department of
Health Sanitary
inspection for 5
consecutive years. |
