Archdiocesan Tournament Eligibility

-       Every team qualifies for the playoffs provided the meet the following criteria.

          1.          The coaches are Rutgers Certified
2.          The coaches have been through Protecting God’s Children
3.          The team completes a team service project that is signed off
              by the person or agency they preformed the service
4.          The coach attends Communion Breakfast or one coaches
              gathering.

Format

-       There are five divisions,

5 & 6 Grade Girls
      5 & 6 Grade Boys
      7 & 8 Grade Girls
      7 & 8 Grade Boys Division 1
      7 & 8 Grade Boys Division 1A

Up to and including the Quarter Finals will be held at the local county gyms, “host gyms”.  As a result of the large number of teams for the 5/6 Grade Boys and the 7/8 Grade Boys A, there will be an additional Round, followed by the Quarters, Semi and Finals.

Therefore the night of March 12^th, I should have all the seating for the different teams.

What I need from each county is availabilities of gyms for 3/18 & 3/19 so I can put dates and locations together for the First Round and Quarter Finals.    

5 & 6 Grade Girls
Bergen and Union County will hold preliminary playoffs, with the top four teams in each qualifying for the tournament

5 & 6 Grade Boys
Among the three counties, there are four divisions.  The counties will hold preliminary playoffs with the top four teams qualifying for the tournament.  This will be divided into Hudson, Bergen, and two Union County Divisions.  There will then be four rounds following.

7 & 8 Grade Girls
Among the three counties, there are four divisions.  The counties will hold preliminary playoffs with the top four teams qualifying for the tournament.  This will be divided into Hudson, Bergen, and two Union County Divisions.  There will then be four rounds following

7 & 8 Grade Boys Division 1
Among the three counties, there are four divisions.  The counties will hold preliminary playoffs with the top four teams qualifying for the tournament.  This will be divided into Hudson, Bergen, and two Union County Divisions.  There will then be four rounds following

7 & 8 Grade Boys Division 1A

Note that this is for Bergen County B Division and the Seventh Grade Teams in Union County.  The two counties will hold preliminary playoffs and the top four teams will qualify for the tournament
