Ski Weekend
Friday February 22 to Sunday
February 24th, 2008
Glens Falls Ramada Inn
West Mountain Ski Area, Glens
Falls, NY
The Ski Trip offers an
opportunity for young people
from your parish to experience
an
Archdiocesan community of
their peers, to be able to share
stories, witness to one another,
pray, dance, learn and basically
have a good time.
The
cost of this trip is $169.00 per
person based on QUAD Occupancy.
This includes Friday
Pizza Party, Saturday Dinner,
Hoagie & Soda for Sunday, 2
breakfasts, hotel
accommodations, hotel security,
bus transportation,
Saturday Mass and dance.
Lift Tickets and rentals
will be available at a reduced
price to our group.

Dream of Justice & Peace
A
High School Encounter with
Social Justice
Friday February 29th, 2008
8:30 am to 1:30 pm
Archdiocesan Youth Retreat
Center
This day long event will bring
high school students together
and face-to-face with
professionals in the field of
today’s social justice issues
ranging from minimum wage to
housing and even the
environment.
Public
and Private Schools alike are
invited to attend and hear the
professional speakers who
themselves where chosen not
because of their religious
affiliation but by their
experience and positions
in a given area of concern.
Our Keynote Speaker for
this event this has yet to be
named. The
cost of this event is $10 a
person, and includes lunch.

YOUTHFEST
Sunday
March 2nd, 2008
10:00 am to 6 pm
Archdiocesan Youth Retreat
Center, Kearny
YOUTHFEST will be held at the
Archdiocesan Retreat Center in
Kearny. For many parishes that
do not have the time or
financial resources to attend
such events as the National
Catholic Youth Conference – we
are once again bringing it to
you!
The day will consist of
workshops for teens and adults,
county rallies, a dynamic
Keynote Speaker, Mass, Lunch and
more.
This year we have
TONY MELENDEZ as our Keynote Speaker
for this event. Tony
is a popular speaker and has
performed for thousands of
people including world leaders,
presidents and the
Pope.
He will be performing at the
2007 National Catholic Youth
Conference and will be speaking in front of
20,000 teens. YOUTHFEST
is $25 a person for all Youth
Participants.
The cost is $15 for all
adults.
This includes all the
days events and lunch.

The
Cotillion Ball
Friday April 25, 2008
7pm to 11 pm
Archdiocesan Youth Retreat
Center, Kearny
The
Cotillion Ball is a semi-formal
dinner dance held each year to
honor teenagers in the youth
ministry programs throughout the
Archdiocese of Newark.
The night includes
dinner, awards and of course
dancing.
Each Youth Ministry
Program is invited to honor and
affirm two
teenagers (one male and
one female) for their
outstanding contributions they
have made in bringing Christ to
their youth ministry, parish and
community. The
evening, is not designed to
center solely around the dance
but around the
honorees. The
distribution of awards is the
highlight of the event This
event is open to teenagers in
high school only.
The
cost of this event is $39 a
person.

HAND
in HAND Festival
Sunday
April 27th, 2008
Starting with 9am mass till 2pm
Archdiocesan Youth Retreat
Center, Kearny
Hand in Hand is a unique day for
people with disabilities.
Its an
afternoon of games, music
and food staffed and run
entirely by members of Youth
Ministry Programs and students
from local Catholic High
Schools.
Hand in Hand offers a
large variety of activities for
mentally handicapped guests.
We are looking for groups
to help run carnival type games,
help lead
clients around “hand in
Hand” during the day, help
with check in, medical personal
and more

The
NJ State Youth Rally
Sunday May 18th, 2008
9 am to 8 pm
Six Flags Great Adventure
Amusement Park
The NJ State Youth Rally is a
day long event that gathers
teens from across the state of
NJ for a day of fun, sharing,
mass and more.
The day kicks off with a
dynamic opening ceremony.
Teens then get the day to
enjoy the park and all the
rides.
The day concludes in the
Northern Star Arena with mass celebrated by
the Bishops of our State.
The NJ State Youth Rally is $45
a person and includes entrance
into the park, a FREE return
ticket, a 4 hour all you can eat
buffet,
Mass, the Opening
Ceremony, and a Free Parking
Pass.

Steubenville
EAST Youth Conference
July 11-13, 2008
7pm to 11 pm
Steubenville East is co-sponsored
by the LaSalette Shrine. The
conference is held on the
grounds of the LaSalette Shrine
in Attleboro, MA. LaSalette
Shrine is a beautiful place of
prayer with a lot of green space
to hang out, pray together, or
play some ball. The main
sessions are held under a
gigantic tent.
this
life-changing conference
includes powerful, inspiring
talks by some of the country’s
best speakers, uplifting and
joy-filled song, as well as
heart-to-heart witness to
God’s unchanging love. The fee
includes a two-night camping
experience, six balanced meals,
